Your music and practice data
Imported scores, scans, metadata, collections, bookmarks, notes, annotations, practice settings, and recordings are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, they can synchronize through your private Apple iCloud account. Trovu does not operate a server that stores or reads this content.
Camera and microphone
The camera is used only when you choose to scan or photograph sheet music. The microphone is used only when you record a practice take. Scans and recordings remain in the app’s local storage and optional private iCloud storage unless you explicitly share or export them.
Optional diagnostics
Crash, hang, and performance diagnostics are off by default. If you enable Share Diagnostics in Settings, Practice Desk uses Sentry to receive reports that may include app and operating-system versions, device model, timestamps, stack traces, navigation context, performance measurements, an installation identifier, and network metadata processed by Sentry. Turning the setting off stops the Sentry SDK.
Practice Desk disables default personally identifiable information, screenshots, and view-hierarchy capture. Score files, annotations, notes, and recordings are not intentionally attached to diagnostic reports.
Sharing and tracking
Data is shared only with Apple for private iCloud synchronization, with Sentry for diagnostics, or with destinations you explicitly select through the system share sheet. Trovu does not sell data, display advertising, or track you across apps and websites.
Deletion
Deleted scores remain recoverable for up to 30 days unless permanently removed sooner. Deleting a recording removes its local audio file and synchronizes that deletion. Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data can be managed through your Apple Account.
