Your reminders
Reminder titles, notes, schedules, completion status, lists, attachments, saved places, and preferences are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled, Apple syncs reminder data through your private iCloud account. Trovu does not operate a server for, or have access to, your reminder data.
Photos, camera, and location
If you choose to attach a photo, scan text, scan a document, or take a photo, Trovu uses the relevant Apple system picker or camera interface. Selected content is stored with the reminder and may sync through your private iCloud account.
If you create a location alert, Trovu uses the place or address you enter to resolve and save a geographic region. Apple’s on-device location and notification services monitor that region to deliver the arrival or departure alert. Trovu does not receive your location on a Trovu server.
Notifications
Trovu Reminders schedules notifications on your device using Apple’s notification services. Notification settings and sounds remain under your control in Trovu Reminders and iOS Settings.
Technical and diagnostic data
Trovu Reminders uses Sentry to receive crash reports and performance diagnostics. These reports can include the app version, device model, operating-system version, timestamps, stack traces, performance measurements, navigation context, an installation identifier, and network metadata processed by Sentry.
Trovu does not intentionally include reminder titles, reminder notes, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers in diagnostic reports.
Sharing
Data is shared only with Apple for optional private iCloud synchronization and with Sentry for diagnostics. It is not sold or used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Retention and deletion
Deleted reminders remain in Recently Deleted for up to 30 days so they can be restored, unless you delete them permanently sooner. These changes sync across devices when iCloud is enabled. Deleting the app removes its local data. You can manage iCloud data in your Apple Account settings. Diagnostic data is retained according to the Sentry account’s retention settings.
Your choices
- Disable notifications in Trovu Reminders or iOS Settings.
- Delete individual reminders, restore them, or remove them permanently from Recently Deleted.
- Manage or remove synced data through your Apple Account settings.
- Request deletion of associated diagnostic data by contacting support.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when we do.
