Closed for focus. Open for space.
Closed, it is a focused reader. Open, it becomes a two-page desk for books, articles, notes, and listening.
One app, two useful shapes
Keep reading on Duo's compact outer display, then open the device without changing books or losing your place. The wider view makes room for the library sidebar, richer page layouts, and a calmer reading surface.
Bring EPUBs, PDFs, DRM-free Kindle and MOBI files, comics, text documents, and saved web articles into the same library.

Open Duo for a book-like spread or a wider scrolling page. Choose page turns or scrolling, then adjust fonts, margins, spacing, and light, dark, sepia, or black page colors.
Use system voices or optional Kokoro voices that run locally after download. Keep listening in the background with lock-screen controls, adjustable speed, configurable skips, and a sleep timer.
Highlight, underline, bookmark, and add notes. The open display gives notes and listening controls more room without crowding the text. Export Markdown, JSON, CSV, and annotated PDFs. Supported Apple Intelligence devices can create local summaries saved as tagged notes.
A library beyond the device shape
Use the browser share sheet to Save to Read Later, then open Trovu to finish the download for offline reading. Follow RSS or Atom feeds, import OPML, and arrange subscriptions in folders.
Scan paper pages into searchable PDFs with optional on-device OCR, or browse compatible OPDS and Calibre catalogs plus available books from Open Library and Internet Archive.
Duo first, not Duo only
Use the same focused single-screen reader, library, notes, saved articles, and Read Aloud tools on a regular iPhone.
Use the larger display for the library sidebar, two-page spreads, PDF markup, scanning, and extended reading sessions.
Run the iPad app on a compatible Mac and continue through private iCloud sync. There is no separate native Mac or Intel version.
Private across your devices
Trovu Reader needs no separate Trovu account. Supported books, reading positions, notes, collections, tags, and RSS subscriptions can sync through your private iCloud account. Local summaries and optional Kokoro speech stay on supported devices.
Demo titles in screenshots are fictional examples, not a bundled commercial catalog.
Trovu does not remove DRM or unlock restricted library loans. DjVu, KFX, and recorded-audiobook services are not supported.
Imported content remains local. Saving websites, refreshing feeds, browsing catalogs, downloads, and iCloud need a connection.
Compatible Apple silicon Macs run the iPad app. There is no separate native Mac or Intel Mac version.
